Black Belt

I started training jiu-jitsu in 2009 after completing my four year enlistment in the Marine Corps. I received my blue and purple belts from Ronny Lis, and my brown belt from Robert "Dutra" Moreira in Austin, TX. As a brown belt I met Chris at a BJJ Globetrotters camp and we quickly became friends. Over the next year we spent a lot of mat time together traveling between Texas and California.

On October 13, 2016 I had the honor of being promoted to black belt by Chris at Alan Shebaro's gym in McKinney, TX. I currently run an organization called Veterans Jiu-Jitsu which provides free training opportunities for active duty military, veterans, law enforcement, and first responders. I live in Leander, TX with my wife and two daughters.
