Meet the Instructors
Chris Haueter
Sixth degree Black Belt and member of the dirty dozen (the first 12 non-Brazilian black belts). Chris was the first American to submit a Brazilian in competition, the first American to compete as a black belt at the Mundials in Brazil and he continues to travel the world spreading his Jiu Jitsu philosophy of think street, train sport and practice art.
Melissa Haueter
Third degree black belt instructor and operations manager for Combat Base Club, MAGIKimono, and Chris Haueter Art. Teacher by nature. Co-star in the Combat Base Club series. Wife of Chris Haueter. Former IBJJF competitor and cheerleader. Loves to sing, dance, and have a good time on the mat. Enjoys staying fit for Jiu Jitsu.
Darien Cobon
Darien Cobon is the Founder and head coach at Momentum Martial Arts, a distinguished training facility located in Reno, Nevada. Darien brings a depth of knowledge and a passion for martial arts. He has dedicated himself to mastering not only BJJ but also other martial arts including Muay Thai, MMA, and boxing.
