Arun began training BJJ in 2009. Originally interested in Jiu Jitsu due to its connection with MMA, Arun quickly became absorbed by the intricacies of the art and found himself increasingly dedicated to improvement, both on and off the mat.

In 2015, Arun helped to start Foundations BJJ Academy in Madison WI, where he continues to learn and teach, with a technical and analytical approach to the art.
